Anger is an expression of dislike. Although it is common to all humans, proper control/management is the key to avoiding the negative effects of anger. Anger is linked with heart diseases which results in premature death. During anger, stress hormones are released; heart rate and blood pressure increases, and the brain divert blood away from the alimentary canal to the muscles in preparation for physical action. Anger is associated with aging. These negative results are similar to what happens during fear. Both fear and anger are problems of the mind and the solution also lies the in the mind; discipline and self control. Health problems associated with Anger are;
- Headache
- Digestion problems, such as abdominal pain
- Insomnia
- Increased anxiety
- Depression
- High blood pressure
- Heart attack
- Stroke.
